The Hurricane Motorsport transmission cooler significantly improves transmission cooling performance! Featuring approximately 75% larger core volume and 85% greater active cooling surface area.

The BMW S58 engine equipped with the automatic transmission comes with the Steptronic ZF 8HP76 gearbox. These transmissions are both strong and fast, but when the vehicle is tuned or driven hard on track, transmission temperatures can become excessive. This can result in slower shifting performance and potentially cause damage to the transmission. With this upgraded transmission cooler, cooling capacity is significantly increased compared to the factory cooler.

Hurricane Motorsport transmission coolers are built to consistently deliver outstanding quality and performance. For the coolers specifically developed for the BMW S58 platform, the focus has been on uncompromising performance and maximum cooling capacity. The goal has been to create the best possible product, where performance takes priority over cost-cutting measures.

The cooler is designed to fit BMW M2, M3 and M4 (G8X) models equipped with the S58 engine and automatic transmission, and installs directly without any modifications. It is also supplied with a protective stone guard that provides maximum airflow while protecting the cooler from stone chips and other debris that may cause damage.

This transmission cooler is built using a high-performance tube & fin construction. This type of design offers lower weight, more efficient heat dissipation, faster temperature recovery after acceleration, and reduced pressure drop. Since the coolers are mounted at the very front of the vehicle, the lower weight provides an additional benefit by contributing to improved weight distribution and enhanced handling characteristics.

Hurricane Motorsport coolers are also available in a black finish. The BMW M2, M3 and M4 (G8X) feature large open grilles and front openings where a significant portion of the cooling package is visible through the front of the vehicle. Unlike the silver-colored factory coolers, the black coolers blend in much better and give the front end a cleaner, more aggressive, and more exclusive appearance.

The black finish enhances the vehicle's sporty design, creating a more uniform and motorsport-inspired appearance. A detail that makes a significant difference to the overall look of the BMW G8X platform.
